Consistency is the first training principle that must be followed. Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, training must be a constant. The body responds to consistent training. Once you stop training, you quickly loss what you have gained. Too many people don’t see the improvements they should because their training is inconsistent.
You train every day. What you do, how much you do and how intense you do it will change frequently. Training itself needs to be done every day. Why? The body is a living organism. It is in a state of constant growth or change. If it has a stress to respond to, it will grow. If no stress, it eventually dies. Training is a stress. The stress needs to change. It varies from very low to very high, but it needs to be constant. Make a commitment to training every day.
